The death of Janab Mafiq in West Bengal’s Bankura has now taken a political turn. CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka visited Karishunda village and met the victim’s family, giving the Bengal government a 10-day ultimatum. Ranka demanded the arrest of all accused, security for the victim’s family, and a court-monitored investigation into the role of police personnel at Indas Police Station. The family alleges that Mafiq was brutally attacked and seriously injured, eventually succumbing to his injuries during treatment. Bankura Police have so far arrested eight people in connection with the case. The deceased’s son, Abdul Hafiz, has demanded that an international-standard school be built in his father’s name. Ranka supported the demand and announced financial assistance for Hafiz, along with the launch of a statewide “Fix the Schools” campaign. He warned that protests would be intensified if the demands are not met within 10 days
पश्चिम बंगाल के बांकुरा में जनाब माफिक की मौत का मामला अब राजनीतिक रूप लेता जा रहा है। सीजेपी नेता आशुतोष रांका ने करिशुंडा गांव पहुंचकर पीड़ित परिवार से मुलाकात की और बंगाल सरकार को 10 दिन का अल्टीमेटम दिया। रांका ने सभी आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी, पीड़ित परिवार की सुरक्षा और इंदस पुलिस स्टेशन के पुलिसकर्मियों की भूमिका की कोर्ट की निगरानी में जांच की मांग की है। परिवार का आरोप है कि माफिक पर हमला कर उन्हें गंभीर रूप से घायल किया गया था, जिसके बाद इलाज के दौरान उनकी मौत हो गई। मामले में बांकुरा पुलिस अब तक आठ लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर चुकी है। मृतक के बेटे अब्दुल हफीज ने पिता के नाम पर इंटरनेशनल स्टैंडर्ड का स्कूल बनाने की मांग की है। रांका ने इस मांग का समर्थन करते हुए आर्थिक मदद और राज्यभर में ‘स्कूल ठीक करो’ अभियान शुरू करने की घोषणा की। मांगें पूरी न होने पर आंदोलन की चेतावनी दी गई है।
